Center for Human Development (CHD) was formed in 2004 with an objective to mobilize young people to facilitate their participation at development work of society. Registered under the Directorate of Social Welfare, under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
CHD is youth lead non-profit social organization. To direct it activities by ordinary people without any kind of discriminations it encourage volunteerism. It implements non-profit projects on Environment, Health, ICT, Human Right, Education and Quality of life. It also establishes relationship of interchange and carries out joint actions with other national, regional and international organizations that agree with its objectives and procedures.
CHD has a 7 member elected executive committee and 21general committee. The president is the organizational head and the Secretary General is the Chief Executive, who also holds the office of the Executive Director.

Objectives:

To interpret the need of human being and implement neighborhood base social and cultural projects to develop in the fields of education, health, social communication, art, science, economics and ecology.

Facilitate Tran formative projects which will promotes simultaneous change of society and individuals.

Facilitate Formation of volunteers who want to become builders of the new world of solidarity and non-violence.

Establish relationship of interchange and carries out joint actions with other national, regional and international institutions that agree with its objectives and procedures.

Center for Human Development is secretariat of Youth forum for ICT Development (YFID). It's a national youth organizations network. It integrates Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with development process of Bangladesh by young people. CHD also member of South Asian Environmental Network-Bangladesh, National Federation of Youth Organisations in Bangladesh, vision 2021 forum, Youth Forum on MDGs and Bangladesh open source network.
International:
CHD is member of many international organizations network as Taking IT Global, Global Youth Action Network (GYAN), Global Youth coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) and HEADP-Nepal.
